Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney alleges sexual abuse by U.S. team doctor

Two-time Olympic medalist McKayla Maroney says she was molested by a former USA Gymnastics team doctor from the time she was 13 to her retirement from the sport in 2015. The 21-year-old posted a statement on Twitter detailing the allegations of abuse. She says the abuse began at one of her first team training camps and occurred before events leading up to the 2012 Olympics. Maroney say Dr. Larry Nassar told her he was giving her “medically necessary treatment.” His attorneys had no comment.
