When will the senior forward join his Gonzaga teammates full time? Well, even he isn’t sure.
Tillie is tired of talking about injuries for obvious reasons after missing 22 games last season due to a stress fracture and partially torn plantar fascia. A source confirmed Tillie had surgery to “clean up” in his knee, so it’s apparently not something too serious.
Research suggests that up to one-third of those who have knees replaced continue to experience chronic pain, while 1 in 5 are dissatisfied with the results. A 2017 study published in the BMJ found that knee replacement had “minimal effects on quality of life,” especially for patients with less severe arthritis.
Former Gonzaga Bulldog Sam Dower Jr.’s professional basketball career appears to be over. Dower said in an Instagram post Sunday that it “may be time for the basketball chapter of my life to come to an end.” The 6-foot-9 forward, who signed in August with MKS Dabrowa Gornicza in Poland, explained that he needs another surgery on his left knee, the third in the last 2½ years.
