The University of Montana and Grizzlies football head coach Bobby Hauck have agreed to a four year contract extension, the school announced on Friday, extending his current deal through January of 2024. “My family and I are committed to the future of Grizzly football. We have unfinished business here, and we need everyone to join us as we continue to work to bring championships back to Missoula,” said Hauck in a press release from Grizzly athletics. This past season, Hauck’s second since returning to Missoula as head coach of the Grizzlies, Montana advanced all the way to the quarterfinals round of the FCS playoffs. It was the deepest run made by a Grizzly football team since 2011. Hauck currently has a an overall record, combined between his two separate tours of duty, of 96-26. The Montana native out of Big Timber became the winningest coach in program history during the 2018 season when he surpassed the previous mark of 85 wins held by Don Read.
