Americans Pick Up Weekend Sweep Of Gillette

Leo Goldman SWX
After sweeping the Gillette Wild on the road this weekend, the Americans sit on top of the division with a one game lead just as they did last week. With just about two months to go until the playoffs, Americans head coach Greg Sears was impressed with how his team shook off a long drive to jump right into action and hit the ice. “Tough weekend, trip to Gillette is always hard. Seven hours on the bus, I thought the guys responded well Friday night, getting off the bus and started really fast. Had some trouble Saturday night, they were charged up to play us and they had a really good third period. Things went well, we got the sweep.” Said Sears.
