Mead’s Zella Conley finished with an all-around score of 36.8 to take home individual honors, but it was not enough to overcome host University in the final Greater Spokane League 4A gymnastics meet of the regular season.
Conley took first in bars and vault and tied for third in beam.
The Titans finished with a GSL season-best 171.85 to pick up the win, behind third and fifth place finishes in the all-around by Anna Johnson and Demri Oglesbee, respectively.
University secured a three-way tie for the league crown with the victory, matching the 8-1 records posted by Mead and Mt. Spokane.
Ferris’ Jessica Harpel finished runner-up in the all-around, winning the floor exercise, placing second in vault and third in bars, while Victoria Axtell of Central Valley, who won beam and came in second on the floor, came in fourth.
Mead finished second in the team competition with 168.725 points, followed by Central Valley, Ferris and Lewis and Clark.
