Eastern Washington forwards Bogdan Bliznyuk and Delaney Hodgins were both selected as Big Sky Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Bliznyuk averaged 23.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists last week as the Eagles men took wins over Bryant, Seattle, Denver and San Francisco.
Bliznyuk made 48.4 percent of his shots from the floor, 43.8 percent of his 3-point attempts and 92.3 percent of his free throws. He came one rebound away from the second triple-double in school history with 22 points, a career-high 11 assists and nine rebounds in an 85-80 win over Denver.
The next night, Bliznyuk equaled his career high with 32 points, and added seven rebounds and seven assists in a 96-90 shootout win against USF. He made 9 of 16 shots from the field, both of his 3-pointers and 12 of 13 free throws in the win over the Dons, which equaled the career high of 32 he had on Nov. 21 in a win over Bryant.
Hodgins averaged 26.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as the Eagles women defeated Utah Valley and Multnomah. She shot 22 of 27 from the floor during the wins.
