PULLMAN – Bob Robertson won’t be in the Washington State radio booth for just the second time in 49 years during Saturday’s Apple Cup matchup against the Huskies.

Robertson missed Saturday’s game with what is said to be a mild illness. He also missed the 1981 Holiday Bowl because of contractual obligations making it so there was no local broadcast.

With the exception of that game, Robertson, 87, had broadcasted 567 consecutive football games, including three years broadcasting the Huskies.
