Men’s basketball: Idaho topples Lewis-Clark State in exhibition

Jordan Scott and Brayon Blake scored 14 points apiece Friday as Idaho completed its men’s basketball exhibition schedule with an 80-66 win over Lewis-Clark State in Moscow, Idaho.

Blake also had 11 rebounds. Perrion Callandret added 12 points and Victor Sanders had 10 for the Vandals.

Idaho led 43-29 at halftime after allowing just one field goal inside the 3-point line.

The Vandals outrebounded the Warriors 40-25 and shot 27 of 54 from the field.

Whitworth senior point guard Kenny Love was named as an honorable mention selection to the preseason All-America team

Love, the Northwest Conference Player of the Year in 2014-15 and a first-team choice last season, averaged 14.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game last season. He led the Pirates in 3-point shooting percentage (41.2) and was second in free-throw percentage (81.8).
