First the Spokane Indians struggled getting a hit then they struggled with stopping the Everett AquaSox from collecting hits.
Everett starter Anthony Misiewicz was dominant, striking out seven and walking one in four no-hit innings, and Everett’s top four hitters went a combined 9 for 16 with six runs scored and seven RBI as the Northwest League North-leading AquaSox defeated Spokane 8-1 at Memorial Stadium in Everett Thursday night.
Spokane spread out four hits and committed three errors.
The lone highlight for the Indians came on a fifth-inning triple by Connor McKay.
McKay would come around and score the lone run for the Indians on a fielding error by Everett first baseman Ryan Uhl.
AquaSox catcher Johan Quevedo had three hits – including his first home run of the season – and four RBIs, Braden Bishop scored three runs and shortstop Drew Jackson added two hits and two stolen bases, his 19th and 20th on the season.
Spokane and Everett had entered the game winners of three of their last four.
Everett (21-14) won its third straight. Spokane (17-18) fell a game below .500.
Cody Palmquist (1-2) went 31/3 innings, allowing six runs on nine hits.
