Colton’s 79-game winning streak was snapped Tuesday night by Jill Townsend and defending 2B state champion Okanogan.
Townsend poured in 42 points and Okanogan beat the Wildcats 73-57 at the West Valley tournament. Townsend made 15 shots from the floor and 12 of 14 free throws.
The Bulldogs (7-0) led by eight at halftime and widened their lead with an 18-12 third-quarter run.
Meghan Devorak scored 18 points and Zoe Moser added 16 for Colton (8-1)
Lakeland 41, Riverside 32: The Hawks (3-8) used a 17-4 fourth-quarter run and beat the Rams (4-3) at the West Valley tournament. Tauna Kirk led Lakeland with 13 points and seven rebounds and Savannah Pruitt added 11 points. Riverside’s Allie Shannon tallied a team-high 14 points.
Lakeside (Washington) 60, Bonners Ferry 47: Hallie Jensen had 15 points and nine rebounds and Sienna Swannack added 11 points and nine assists as the Eagles (6-3) topped the Badgers (3-4) at the West Valley tournament. A 20-6 second-quarter run gave Lakeside control.
Priest River 43, Tonasket 37: Avery Summers scored 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting and added eight rebounds and four steals as the Spartans (6-4) erased an early five-point deficit and beat the Tigers at the West Valley tournament. Priest River gave up 21 first-quarter points but only two in the second quarter after switching to a man-to-man defense.
St. George’s 59, Northwest Christian 53 (2OT): Hailey Higashi made a lay-in with 6 seconds left in the first overtime and the Dragons pulled away in the second overtime to beat the Crusaders at the Freeman tournament. Higashi finished with 26 points, four steals and four rebounds and Abby Jones added 14 points for the Dragons (7-3), who led for just 4 minutes. St. George’s outscored Northwest Christian (6-4) 8-2 in the second OT. Northwest Christian’s Rachel Bozlee scored 21 points, Steffanie Kiourkas had 12 and Savanna Morash chipped in 10.
Pullman 57, Freeman 39: Kenzie Druffel scored 14 points and Savanah Cordova and Anne Mari Petrino added 10 apiece as the Greyhounds topped the Scotties at the Freeman tournament.
Sandpoint 51, Coeur d’Alene 46: Madi Schoening made 10 of 20 shots and 14 of 17 free throws and scored 34 points as the Bulldogs (7-6) clipped the Vikings (5-4) at the Coeur d’Alene tournament. Coeur d’Alene’s Emily Callahan made 5 of 11 3’s and scored 22 points.
Reardan 60, Wellpinit 41: Kamille Langford had 14 points and 14 rebounds and Gabby Singer added 13 points and 13 rebounds as the Indians (2-4) topped the Redskins (2-5) at the Reardan tournament. Wellpinit’s Christina Carden tallied a team-high 10 points.
Central Valley 63, Richland 38: Lexie Hull scored 13 of her game-high 23 points in the first quarter and added nine rebounds as the Bears (8-0) topped the visiting Bombers. Lacie Hull added 17 points, 17 rebounds and five steals for Central Valley, which built a 36-19 halftime lead.
Lewiston 58, Clarkston 48: Alyssa Ralstin hit five 3-pointers and scored 15 points to guide the Bengals (5-1) past the visiting Bantams (1-4). Clarkston’s Jaclyn Meyers scored 24.
Liberty 56, Valley Christian 34: Madelynne Flaig had 26 points and seven rebounds and Christine Denny added 13 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and six assists as the Lancers topped the visiting Panthers. Kaleen Pope and Phoebe Trigsted had 13 points apiece for Valley Christian.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 45, Odessa-Harrington 29: Peyton Curtis scored 21 points and Madi Harder pulled down 10 rebounds as the Broncos (4-3) used a 15-1 first-quarter run to get past the visiting Titans (1-6). Katie DeWulf led Odessa-Harrington with 11 points.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 57, Wilbur-Creston 37: Gabby Isaak had 22 points, Berlyn Hunt had 17 and Brenna Oliver chipped in 16 as the Warriors (5-1) beat the Wildcats (4-5) in Creston. Wilbur-Creston’s Karlee Maioho scored 15.
St. John-Endicott 45, Tekoa-Rosalia 35: Jadyn Corder had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Abby Glorfield added 17 points, seven rebounds and six steals as the Eagles (5-3) beat the visiting Timberwolves (2-6). Tommia Pakootas led Tekoa-Rosalia with 17 points.
Garfield-Palouse 48, Potlatch 36: Keely Burnes scored 16 points and Katie Arrasmith added 12 points and 21 rebounds as the Vikings (3-6) topped the host Loggers.
Oakesdale 57, College Place 10: Jacey Johnson had 18 points, seven steals and seven assists and Anne Hockett added 15 points and nine offensive rebounds as the Nighthawks (6-3) cruised to an easy win over visiting College Place.
