Skip Kendall shot a 7-under-par 65 to take a one stroke lead after two rounds in the Bay Hill Invitational at Orlando, Fla.
Kendall made eight birdies at Bay Hill Club, which played long but soft because of overnight rains.
Don January and Gene Littler, who won the Legends of Golf in 1985 and 1986, shared the first-round lead of this year’s event with Graham Marsh and John Bland at 9-underpar 63 at La Quinta, Calif.
Miller Barber and Jim Ferree were one shot off the pace entering today’s second round of the 54-hole competition.
Kelly Robbins, seeking her second win of the season, shot a 5-under-par 68 to share the lead at 135 with Barb Mucha after the second round of the LPGA Standard Register Ping at Phoenix.
Tracy Hanson of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Robin Walton of Clarkston both were nine shots off the lead.
