The Seattle Mariners had their eight-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday when they lost to the Los Angeles Angels, 7-4.

The Mariners took the lead in the second inning when Kyle Seager and Ryon Healy both hit solo home runs, but would fail to maintain their lead. The Angels scored a combined five runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, which led to their victory.

Starting pitcher Mike Leake gave up nine hits and four runs in 4.0 innings pitched, while earning his fifth loss on the season.

Seattle will look to win the series against the Angels on Thursday when these two teams face off for the last time at Safeco Field before the All-Star break. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m.
