The Seattle Mariners have won their eighth straight game after they beat the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night, 4-1. This win marks the longest win streak for the Mariners since 2016.

Seattle opened the game scoring three runs in the first inning on a Kyle Seager double and a swinging strikeout by Ryon Healy that scored Nelson Cruz. The Angels' only run would come in the fourth inning when Andrelton Simmons hit a solo home run. The Mariners would tack on one more run in the eighth inning with a Cruz home run, as Seattle moves to 55-31 on the year. 

Shohei Ohtani was activated before the game, but struggled against he Mariners posting an 0-4 outing. Wade LeBlanc picked up the win for the Mariners giving up one run in 7.0 innings pitched. With the win, LeBlanc moved to 4-0 on the season.

The Mariners continue their series with the Angels beginning on Wednesday at 1:10 p.m.
