The Seattle Mariners beat the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, 3-2 marking their 24th one-run victory this season.

Kyle Seager was the hero for the Mariners as he had all of Seattle's runs coming in both the fourth and sixth innings. Starting pitcher James Paxton picked up his seventh (7-2 record) win on the year after he threw ten strikeouts and gave up just two earned runs in 7.0 innings.

With this win, the Mariners notch their 49th victory of the season and sit 18 games over .500. Seattle currently sits three games behind the Houston Astros for the AL West lead, but are 7.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Angels for the second wild card spot.

The Mariners continue their four-game series against the Orioles on Thursday, with the first pitch set for 4:05 p.m.
