The Mariners opened up the scoring in the second inning as Dee Gordon hit in two runs on a single off of pitcher Andrew Cashner. In the seventh inning, the game was tied 3-3 until the Mariners scored two runs on a wild pitch and sacrifice fly.

Starting pitcher Felix Hernandez picked up his seventh win on the year after throwing four strikeouts and giving up three earned runs in 6.0 innings. With this win, the Mariners move to 48-31 on the season and will continue their four-game series against the Orioles on Tuesday at 4:05 p.m.
