Vladislav Lukin scored his first of three on the night less than 2 minutes later to put Tri City up 4-1, but Spokane cut the lead in half on a Keanu Yamamoto power play goal from Kailer Yamamoto and Smith at 8:23 to make it a 4-2 game. Lukin would tally again to put the Americans up 5-2, but the Chiefs Jaret Anderson-Dolan would score the Chiefs third power play goal of the second at 17:38 to bring Spokane within 5-3. Rasmussen would cap a career high 4 goal night with just a minute left in the period to give Tri City a 6-3 lead after two.
