The Spokane Chiefs finished off their 4 game road trip through the B.C. Division with a 4-1 loss to the Prince George Cougars Saturday night in Prince George, B.C. The Chiefs finished 1-2-0-1 on the road trip as Spokane's lead over Tri City was cut to 4 points for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Spokane ended up finishing 2-2 against the Cougars in the season series.

Prince George would score on a Chase Witala power play goal just 48 seconds into the game to take a quick 1-0 lead. Spokane would counter when Hudson Elyniuk hit Dominic Zwerger for his team leading 25th goal of the season at 3:14 of the first to tie the game at one. Prince George would break the tie and score the eventual game winner just 27 seconds into the second period on a Brad Morrison back hander that beat goalie Tyson Verhelst top shelf. 

The Cougars would close out the win with two goals in the final three minutes, including an empty netter with 5 seconds remaining. Prince George out shot Spokane 41-33 in the game, as the Chiefs went 0-4 on the power play and 4-5 on the penalty kill. Spokane will return home to open their final 3 game homestand of the season as they host the Kamloops Blazers Wednesday night at 7:05pm. Mike Boyle will have the call on 1510 KGA starting with the pre-game show at 6:30pm.
