SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga men's basketball team shot just 36 percent in a 63-58 loss to Saint Mary's on Senior Night in the McCarthey Athletic Center on Saturday.

Redshirt freshman Josh Perkins had a game-high 21 points for Gonzaga (21-7, 13-3), but the Bulldogs couldn't overcome the cold shooting performance. Seniors Kyle Wilter, Kyle Dranginis and Eric McClellan were honored before the game. Wiltjer and McClellan each had 13 points for Gonzaga.

The Gaels (22-4, 13-3) tied Gonzaga atop the West Coast Conference standings as they completed their first regular-season sweep of the Bulldogs (21-7, 13-3) since 1995. It gives Saint Mary's the first tiebreaker in the conference tournament seeding should it remain tied with Gonzaga at the end of the regular season.

An early 7-2 run was capped off by five straight points from McClellan to give GU a 9-5 lead, which turned out to be its largest lead of the game. The Gaels battled back and ended the half on a 7-0 run to take a 30-23 lead into the break.

In the second half, Gonzaga closed to within four at 46-42 after three consecutive buckets by Perkins, but Saint Mary's pushed the lead right back to 11 with a 10-3 run to lead 58-47 with 5:10 left. Joe Rahon stopped a 6-0 Gonzaga run with a floater that made it 60-53 at 1:23. Perkins and Wiltjer each scored to cut it to 61-58 with 17 seconds left before Calvin Hermanson made two free throws to put the game out of reach.

Evan Fitzner and Emmett Naar scored 13 and Rahon added 10 for Saint Mary's.

Gonzaga will be back on the road for the final two games of the regular season next weekend at San Diego on Thursday at 7 p.m. and then at BYU on Saturday at 5 p.m.
