SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco women's basketball team made 11 three-pointers in a 71-52 victory over Gonzaga Saturday.

The Dons (14-8, 5-6 West Coast Conference) held GU to 28 percent shooting from the field, while they made 40 percent. USF finished 11-of-20 from behind-the-arc (55 percent). San Francisco had 15 assists on their 20 made field goals.

San Francisco was led by three double-digit scorers. Zhané Dikes had 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Taylor Proctor added 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Anna Seilund scored 10 of her 13 points in the first half.

The Dons never trailed in the game after jumping out to a 22-10 lead after the first quarter. They took a 42-22 lead into halftime. USF shot 51.9 percent from the field in the opening half. Seven of its 14 made field goals in the first half were from three-point range. 

San Francisco had a 39-36 rebound advantage. GU committed 15 turnovers, while the Dons finished with 12.

Jill Barta paced Gonzaga (14-9, 6-5 WCC) with 15 points and seven rebounds. The freshman was 4-of-4 from the line and extended her free-throw streak to 27 straight makes. She leads the conference with a 94.4 free-throw percentage (34-of-38) in WCC action. 

Laura Stockton had nine points and Kiara Kudron scored eight points for Gonzaga Saturday. The Zags made five of their 20 three-point shots. GU was 15-of-19 from the free-throw line.

Gonzaga returns home for the next three games beginning with Loyola Marymount Thursday. The Lions (7-15, 3-8) fell at home to San Diego Saturday, 75-67. The Bulldogs won the first meeting this season at LMU, 66-59, on Dec. 23. Thursday's tip in Spokane is scheduled for 6 p.m.
