PULLMAN, Wash. -- Ernie Kent continues to experiment with different lineups, and it nearly carried Washington State to a home win against Colorado on Saturday, as the Cougars lost at Friel Court, 75-70.

Sophomore Ny Redding and senior Brett Boese (Shadle Park HS, Spokane) both made their second starts of the season, with Redding playing a season-high 27 minutes while Boese logged 23 minutes on the floor.  It was the eighth different starting lineup that Kent has deployed for Washington State this season.

Junior Ike Iroegbu led the way for WSU, scoring a team-high 27 points, one shy of his career high set January 9th in an overtime loss to Washington.  Iroegbu was 12-for-20 from the field, scoring in double figures for the fifth time in seven Pac-12 games this season.  Junior Conor Clifford tied a career-high with 18 points while shooting 8-for-9 from the floor.  Josh Hawkinson, who had failed to notch a double-double in consecutive games for the first time in his collegiate career, got back on track with 12 points and 10 rebounds, the 34th double-double of his career.

George King scored 22 points to lead Colorado, while Josh Scott added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Buffaloes.

With the loss, Washington State falls to 1-6 in Pac-12 play, 9-10 overall.  WSU travels to Los Angeles to take on USC and UCLA next week.
