Update: Early reports of Seahawks running backs Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch being involved in a crash following a street race are false according to police.

Just before 5 p.m. Tuesday evening, Jackson was involved in a crash after losing control of his Corvette and hit a street sign. The car sustained damage, but Jackson appeared uninjured but was evaluated by team personnel.

Police say there is no indication that Jackson was racing another vehicle. He remained on the scene until officers could speak to him and was cooperative.
