SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Indians conceded five errors and failed to get their bats going for the second night in a row to fall to the Hillsboro Hops 6-3 at Avista Stadium on Saturday night.

The Hops (2-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning and didn't turn back.

Quinnton Mack led off with an infield single and advanced to third on a two-base error on Indians (1-2) starter Joe Palumbo pick-off attempt to first, he would put the first run on the board thanks to a Raymel Flores sacrifice fly. Fernery Ozuna reached on an error and then wound up at third base after stealing second and advancing on a wild pitch. Dane McFarland scored Ozuna with a ground rule double to left and crossed the plate himself on a Luis Veras single to right field.

Hillsboro tacked on runs in the fourth, fifth and another in the seventh on a Trevor Mitsui solo home run just past the Gus Johnson Ford sign in left field.

Spokane's first hit came in the bottom of the sixth on a Ti'Quan Forbes line-drive double over Mack's head in left, but the Indians stranded him there after Sherman Lacrus drew a walk.

The Indians finally scored in the seventh inning after Jamie Potts walked and worked his way to second on a wild pitch, setting up Leon Byrd Jr. to bring him in on his first professional hit.

Spokane rallied in the bottom of the ninth to score Potts on a wild pitch and Tyler Sanchez on a LeDarious Clark sac fly to center, but Yeyson Yrizarri struck out to end the game.

Spokane hosts Hillboro again for game four of their five game series on Sunday, June 21, with special Fathers Day activities planned at Avista Stadium. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m. PT.
