SPOKANE, Wash. – Former Gonzaga women's basketball standout, Haiden Palmer, is headed to China with an all-star team from the United States to play in the Four Nations International Basketball Tournament.

The team, organized and coached by NetScouts Basketball, will play a round-robin format in two cities for a total of six games against national teams from China, the Czech Republic and the Canadian World University team. The team will first play three games in Huangshi in Hubei Province from June 22-24. They will then head to Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province to play three games from June 26-28.

The NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars include: Palmer, 5'8, G (Gonzaga/WNBA/Israel), Shannon Smith, 5'7, PG, (Michigan), Angela Rodriguez, 5'8, PG (Wisconsin-Milwaukee/Poland), Tear'A Laudermill, 5'9, G (Nebraska), D'Shara Strange, 5'10, G (Northern Colorado), Emily Burns, 6'0, G/F (Nevada), Kendall Kenyon, 6'2, F (Pacific), Jen Reese, 6'2, F (Colorado), Nikki Greene, 6'4, PF/C (Penn State/WNBA/Korea) and Cierra Warren, 6'5, C (San Diego State/WNBA/Bulgaria). The team will be coached by Bobby Ratterree of Northeastern (CO) Junior College and assisted by Bianca Ziemann of Santa Clara.

Palmer, One of the most accomplished women's basketball players in West Coast Conference history, was named the 2011-12 WCC Newcomer of the Year and the 2013 WCC Most Outstanding Player at the WCC Women's Basketball Championship. The native of Moreno Valley, Calif., helped Gonzaga to three WCC regular-season titles, two WCC Tournament Championships and three NCAA Tournaments, reaching the Sweet 16 in 2012.

Palmer was selected in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, becoming the fifth player in program history to be drafted by the WNBA. She played professionally in Israel, where she averaged over 15 points per game this past season for Elitzur Netanya.
