SWXRightNow.com -- In honor of Spokane native Tyler Johnson helping to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to the NHL's Stanley Cup Finals vs. the Chicago Blackhawks we take a special look at when the former Spokane Chiefs star was named the captain of his hometown team.

Watch the Flashback Friday Feature on Johnson above.

Johnson remains active in the Spokane community during the NHL offseason, he helped put together and hosted the first-ever Hockey Fest at Frontier Ice Arena in Coeur d'Alene, which brought together current and former WHL and NHL players for a charity exhibition. Johnson was even able to get The Great One, Wayne Gretzky, to make an appearance for the fans.

Pictures from Hockey Fest 2014 can be found below.

The Lightning center leads all scorers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with 21 points, including a NHL-best 12 postseason goals to go with 9 assists. The Blackhawks came from behind to beat the Lightning in game one on Wednesday. More on that game HERE: http://bit.ly/1KaZBlT

Johnson and the Lightning will look to even the series on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. PT on KHQ.
