Former WSU Star Thompson Makes All-NBA Third Team

NEW YORK -- The Association announced it's three All-NBA teams today and former Washington State star Klay Thompson made Cougar history by being named All-NBA Third Team on Thursday.

With his selection Thompson became the first Coug to make an All-NBA team in WSU history and joined fellow Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who was named to the First Team. Curry joined the Cleveland Cavilers' LeBron James to be the only players to be unanimously voted All-NBA First Team.

Thompson didn't finish with any First Team votes, but did earn 122 points earn his spot among the NBA elite. San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan, Cavs guard Kyrie Irving and Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin and center DeAndre Jordan joined Thompson on the Third Team.

The Warriors shooting guard finished the 2014-15 season averaging 21.7 points per game, shot 43.9 percent from three-point range and added 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
