SWXRightNow.com -- Former Spokane Chiefs star and current bright light for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tyler Johnson, has had one of the best Stanley Cup Playoff scoring runs in recent history. It hasn't gone unnoticed.

In Sam Hitchcock's article on Johnson for NBC Sports he breaks down why the small and undrafted forward has found so much success in the NHL and for the Lightning this postseason. Read more HERE: http://bit.ly/1dlRyqf

This season Johnson finished with 72 points (29 G, 43 A) during the regular season, but his 12 goals and 6 assists in the Stanley Cup Playoffs lead the NHL in goals and points scored and the Lightning to the Eastern Conference Finals. His scoring has come in bunches, with four multi-goal games in the playoffs and a hat trick in game two of the conference finals.

Johnson scored a goal and had an assist in Tampa Bay's 6-5 overtime win over the New York Rangers to take a 2-1 series lead.
