SWXRightNow.com -- Guard Nigel Williams-Goss is leaving the University of Washington to transfer to Mark Few's Gonzaga men's basketball team.

The 6-foot-3 guard chose the Zags over UNLV, Ohio State and Providence after the sophomore announced he was going to leave UW back in April.

"I feel that their track record of winning at a high level, developing players during their redshirt year and their up-tempo offense that includes a ton of ball screens is an overall good fit for me," Williams-Goss said.

Williams-Goss started every game for the Huskies last season and averaged 15.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game, enough to earn All-Pac-12 Second Team honors.

Due to NCAA transfer rules Williams-Goss will sit out the 2015-16 season and will have two years of eligibility left when he can play for the Zags starting in 2016-17.

Gonzaga will definitely lose seniors-to-be Kyle Dranginis, Eric McClellan, Kyle Wiltjer and Przemek Karnowski next season, and could lose the likes of Domantas Sabonis and other talented underclassmen, after next season. Giving Williams-Goss a shot at starting once he's eligible to play.
