The Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox faced off in a game in an empty Camden Yards in what was the first game with no attendance in Major League Baseball history.

The game started with no runs, no hits, no errors... and no fans due to a decision made by the MLB and the Orioles management.

No fans were allowed into the game due to unrest in the city after the funeral of a man who died in police custody. But outside the gates, some fans showed up anyway and made their support for the home team loud and clear and maybe that was enough to spur on the O's.

A sacrifice fly by adam jones opened up the scoring in the first. They would push six runs across in the inning, making those die hard onlookers very happy.

The Orioles won the game 8-2.
