CHENEY, Wash. - Eastern Washington men's basketball's sophomore forward Ognjen Miljkovic has decided to transfer, the school announced on Wednesday.

“Ognjen has determined for personal reasons that it is best for him to complete his career at another school,” head coach Jim Hayford said. “We wish him the best and thank him for all he has given to the program. He leaves with my highest recommendation.”

In his sophomore season, Miljkovic started 33 of 34 games for the Eagles, averaging 9.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in 23.9 minutes per game.

The 6-7, 220-lb. forward started seven games as a freshman, finishing the season with 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in an average of 18.6 minutes per game.

Miljkovic is from Serbia and attended Bishop Montgomery High School in California before coming to Eastern. Another Bishop Montgomery grad, Tyler Harvey, decided to forgo his senior season at EWU and enter the 2015 NBA Draft.

With Harvey and Miljkovic's departures, the Eagles will now have to replace four starters from a team that was the Big Sky Conference Tournament Champion and Big Sky Conference co-champion in the regular season in 2014-15. More importantly it is the loss of a valuable big man in an already undersized team.
