BOISE, Idaho -- The Spokane Indians finally earned a win at Memorial Stadium vs. the Boise Hawks on Thursday, July 17, after dropping three straight for the first time all season.

With things all tied at 5-5 after 5 innings, the Indians (23-11) scored 7 unanswered runs to take a convincing 12-5 win over the Hawks (19-15).

Zach Cone finished with 4 RBI on a 2-for-3 night, and scored a run on his 2-run jack in the 6th inning. Seth Spivey remained hot, going 2-for-3 with a RBI and 4 runs scored and also hit a homer, just a day after being named the Northwest League Player of the Week.

Shane McCain earned his first win of the season after coming in and pitching 2.1 innings of scoreless relief and fanning three Boise batters.

Spokane has the top-three hitters in the NWL with Spivey (.385), Eduard Pinto (.362) and Luke Tendler (.358). Marcus Greene (6th, .326) and Jose Trevino (11th, .306) are also hitting above .300 and are in the Northwest League's top-15 batting average leaders.

The Indians will conclude their eight-game road trip tomorrow, June 18, vs. the Hawks then will return to Avista Stadium for a three-game homestand vs. the Everett AquaSox before the conclusion of the first half. Spokane holds a 2.0-game first place lead over the Vancouver Canadians with four games to play, if the divisional lead holds, the Indians will secure the first-half playoff spot.
