Chiefs Announce Fan Contest To Name Wine

by Spokane Chiefs Media Relations

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs and Arbor Crest Wine Cellars are teaming up again to benefit Chiefs Care with the production of the second annual Spokane Chiefs Wine. Now, Chiefs fans can get involved with a contest to name this year’s wine with submissions accepted through Wednesday, July 23.

The winner of the naming contest will win a magnum bottle of the wine signed by Chiefs’ Owner Bobby Brett and Arbor Crest General Manager and Viticulturist Jim van Löben Sels, as well as a VIP experience at Arbor Crest during the wine release party held in September.

Last year’s “Chiefs Red”, the first collaboration between the Chiefs and Arbor Crest, raised over $4,000 for Chiefs care, a part of the Chiefs organization dedicated to giving back to the Spokane community and continuing education of Chiefs players.

This year’s wine will again be a red blend and will sell for $20 per bottle with a portion of each sale going directly to Chiefs Care.

In celebration of the naming contest and continued collaboration between the Chiefs and Arbor Crest, the final 30 bottles of the 2013 “Chiefs Red” red blend will be released and available for purchase at the Chiefs’ Ticket Office while supplies last beginning on Wednesday, July 16. These will be the last ever “Chiefs Red” bottles sold.
