Spokane Northstars win Wood Bat Classic

Posted:
Spokane, WA -- The Spokane Northstars took down Bellingham Post 7 in the championship game to claim the Senior Wood Bat Classic Title.

Bellingham jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning thanks in part to a Jordan Wittenberg 2-RBI double and Peter Penny's RBI single. Spokane responded in the bottom of the frame, as Daniel Munoz hit a 2 RBI single and a bases loaded hit by the pitch to even things up.

This one would be tied up yet again in the fourth inning, but Spokane used a 2-out rally in the sixth inning to score 6 runs and hold on for the victory.
