The Spokane Shock placed standout wide receiver Adron Tennell on the Inactive Reserve list and were been assigned former receiver Steven Black on Thursday, May 15, before they hit the road to face the undefeated Arizona Rattlers this Sunday, May 18.

Tennell is currently leading the Shock (5-3, 2-0) in receptions (48), touchdown receptions (12) and is second behind Brandon Thompkins with 494 yards receiving. The former Oklahoma wideout was Spokane's leading WR and was named the AFL Receiver of the Year after finishing with 1,792 yards receiving and a single-season franchise record 49 touchdown receptions last season.

Taking Tennell's roster spot is Black, a three-year veteran who spent 2012 and 2013 with the Shock. Black totaled 18 receptions for 168 yards and 3 TDs in just 3 games before he sustained a season-ending knee injury last year. In his rookie in 2012 Black grabbed 67 passes for 770 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns.

Spokane also activated defensive back Josh Pleasant from Inactive Reserve on Thursday.
