BLOOMSDAY: What You Need To Know For Race Day

SPOKANE, Wash. - Race day is here! Here is information you need to know if you are headed downtown for the race. Look at the list of what you CAN'T BRING with you, check out the weather forecast, get parking information and learn how you can watch yourself or any other Bloomsday runner cross the finish line!

WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE COURSE?
  • Backpacks
  • Bicycles
  • Wagons
  • Dogs
  • Rollerblades
  • Unregistered runners
  • Skateboards
  • Hand cycles
  • Motorized vehicles
  • Motorized wheelchairs
  • Headphones, iPods, etc.
  • Running while pushing Strollers, Baby Joggers or wheelchairs.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER GOING TO BE LIKE?


BLOOMSDAY - Chance for rain all day long. Could see a thunderstorm here or there after 11 in the morning. The winds will make it feel a little cooler than it actually is so pack an extra sweatshirt for Bloomsday!

WHERE CAN I PARK?

Parking is limited on Bloomsday morning due to street closures, but there are a number of options. Many downtown parking lots are open, and the Spokane Arena also has parking available (just a short walk through Riverfront Park to the starting areas). In addition, thousands of Bloomies take special bus shuttles to and from the start/finish each year. If you'd like to join them, go to the STA website for more information or call STA at 509-328-RIDE.


HOW CAN I WATCH MYSELF OR ANOTHER RUNNER CROSS THE FINISH LINE?

KHQ has you covered no matter where you will be to watch LIVE coverage of the event and you don't have to be near a TV. You can watch online or on a mobile device.
