WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Washington State University men's basketball junior DaVonté Lacy has been named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention, commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday.

Lacy (Tacoma, Wash.), a 6-foot-4 guard, finished the regular season averaging 19.1 points per game. He scored in double-figures in 19 of the 23 games he played this season and reached the 30-point plateau twice. Lacy scored 39 points against California, Feb. 12, the most by a Cougar men's basketball student-athlete since Klay Thompson scored 43 against Washington, March 10, 2011. Due to injury, he played in just 73.3 percent of WSU's games this season and is ineligible for conference rankings, which requires that 75 percent of the team's games be played.

At the end of the regular season, Lacy was just two points shy of becoming the 34th Cougar to reach 1,000 career points. If he reaches 1,000 points in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament, he will have accomplished the feat in 85 games, reaching it in the ninth-fewest games in school history. Lacy is also ranked eighth in WSU records with 177 made three-pointers.

He becomes the 20th Cougar to earn all-conference honorable mention as it marks the 23rd time a WSU student-athlete has earned the accolade.

Lacy and the Cougars continue their season at the Pac-12 Tournament as the No. 11 seed. They take on sixth-seeded Stanford, Wednesday, March 12 at 8:36 p.m. at the MGM Grand Garden Arena at Las Vegas, Nev.
