Led by senior center Sam Dower's 24 points the Gonzaga University men's basketball team will head back to Spokane, Wash. on a winning note, defeating San Francisco 75-65 on Saturday, Feb.1.

Dower also nabbed 6 rebounds to go with his game-high 24 points. The Zags (20-3, 10-1 West Coast Conference) were able to dominate the points in the paint with Dower and Sophomore center Przemek Karnowski. Karnowski added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks in oft interrupted playing time after receiving a cutth--at wouldn't stop bleeding on the court--on his face early in the first half when he and teammate Kyle Dranginis collided going up for a board.

The Dons (14-9, 7-4 West Coast Conference) were led by Avery Holmes' 18 points. Despite the loss, San Francisco will remain in second place, behind Gonzaga, in the WCC standings.
