Washington State Edges CSU Bakersfield: Cougars Win Home Opener

Washington State University men's basketball team won its home opener over California State University- Bakersfield, 62-56, on Friday night. 

DaVonte' Lacy drained 28 points on 6-of-17 shooting, but went 14-of-17 from the free throw line, and had six rebounds to lead Cougars to the win.Lacy was the only WSU player with double-digit points. D.J. Shelton scored seven points and finished with 10 boards, while Royce Woolridge and Ike Iroegbu both scored eight points in the contest. 

Abdul Ahmed score 12 points and Brandon Barnes added 10 more to lead the Roadrunners scoring. 

The Cougars will stay in Pullman and host Lamar next Saturday, Nov. 16.
