REPORT: Rockets Win Howard Sweepstakes

Updated:

Dwight Howard has made a decision, USA Today's Sam Amick is reporting.

Howard will play for the Houston Rockets next season, ending a failed one-year experiment with the Los Angeles Lakers. The coveted 7-footer was said to have been choosing between the Rockets and Golden State Warriors, with a return to the Lakers a distant possibility.

Howard's season with the Lakers in 2012-13 was not as scripted, as the center wasn't able to overcome injuries and the team struggled to win games.

The question now is, will Howard's first season with the Rockets be more successful than any he had with the Orlando Magic or the Lakers? Make sure to vote in our poll.
