Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-City Americans have some of the best fans around. and Tuesday afternoon the Ams showed their appreciation. Hosting their second annual playoff rally. There were pictures with the players, autogrgaphs, carnival games,  plus a poster-making station to fill the Toyota Center. The free event accepted canned food donations to help out a local senior food bank. But after the fun is over, it's all about getting ready for the playoffs.

"Well it's an exciting time for the players. They know the series starts Friday night in Spokane. It's a chance to say thank you to our fans who support us all year. They get a little bit of time during the year to mingle with the fans, but this is a special thing, a pep rally. It's exciting for the fans to cheer and salute them, but also for the players to say thank you back to the community for supporting us all year with such great numbers," said Bob Tory, Tri-City Americans general manager about the event.
