KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Friday night we have playoff basketball on SWX. Catch the Kamiakin girls in the 3A state regional round against Lakes. It is a rematch from last season's playoffs where Kamiakin beat Lakes, 76-46. SWX will broadcast live from University High School with an 8 p.m. tip-off. Braves head coach Lane Schumacher says his girls respond well to new non-conference competition.
"We were playing 4A schools and teams that had the chance to scout you when you're in league. Now teams aren't quite getting as many days to scout us coming off one or two days. I think that really helps us with our pressure defense and causing turnovers. They don't get a lot of time to prepare for that. I think that's going to be an advantage for us. It has been the last two games. I hope Friday is the same," Schumacher said.
