SPOKANE, Wash. -

The No. 8 Whitworth Pirates begin their postseason Thursday night by hosting a Northwest Conference semifinal game against Lewis & Clark.

As the top seed in the conference tournament, Whitworth secured home court advantage for both the semifinal and championship game. A win on Thursday would put them in the title game on Saturday against either Whitman or George Fox.

Lewis & Clark, from Portland, is 16-9 on the season and 10-6 in the NWC – tied for third place with George Fox.

Thursday's game tips off at 7 p.m. with no TV coverage.
