Kamiakin playoff doubleheader to air on SWX

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- High school basketball playoffs are coming to SWX. Tuesday's featured doubleheader in the Tri-Cities and Yakima region comes from Kamiakin High School. SWX will bring you the Braves' boys and girls games. Live coverage starts at 6 p.m. The lady Braves will host North Central and the boys will host Rogers. Kamiakin's head coaches talks about what makes this season's playoffs different than when they were in the CBBN.

"Well the first difference is you have a loser-out game in the first round. Normally you have a district tournament and opportunities to take care of business. That's the biggest difference," said Brian Meneely, Kamiakin boys' head coach.

"Some of those games you're playing it's not a loser-out. If you lose, you get to bounce back. This game, it's not that way. We've really tried to let them know how important it is and that we have to focused. We've been preaching that all week long, since last week even," added Lane Schumacher, Kamiakin girls' head coach.
