It was a tough decision for Arizona prep star Tyler Bruggman. In the end, after a considerable amount of last-minute consternation, the 4-star quarterback recruit from Phoenix decided on Washington State.

But it wasn't easy.

Twitter lit up Wednesday morning on National Letter of Intent Day when Bruggman almost flipped his commitment from WSU to Arizona State. Reportedly, just as he was ready to fax his letter to Pullman, his mother stopped him to tell him that Josh Dobbs had changed his commitment from ASU to Tennessee, leaving a QB position open in Tempe.

In the end, Bruggman said he was "a man of his word", and faxed a Letter of Intent to Coach Mike Leach in WSU.

The Cougars picked several letters from 3-star recruits, including Peyton Pelluer, a middle linebacker from Skyline High School on the west side of the state. Daquawn Brown, from Los Angeles, also signed with the Cougars.

Brown was named first-team all-city, first team all-conference, and first-team all-region by the Los Angeles Times at cornerback. He also played special teams and could compete for immediate playing time in Pullman.
