Chip Kelly to Leave Oregon for Philadelphia Eagles

Updated:

Oregon coach Chip Kelly will be the new head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported the news Wednesday, though neither Kelly nor the Eagles have made a formal statement.

Kelly reportedly has taken the job despite saying he would stay at Oregon and forget about leaving Eugene for the NFL. He will replace Andy Reid, the longtime coach who was let go at the end of this season after the Eagles failed to make the postseason.

Kelly has a career record of 46-7 at Oregon and led his Ducks to the BCS Championship game two years ago against Auburn.
