Gonzaga's Kelly Olynyk was named the Player of the Week in the West Coast Conference on Monday. On Thursday he was named the conference's Player of the Month.
Olynyk, a redshirt junior, averaged 18.1 points per game in December and made 70.8 percent of his field goal attempts (51-of-62). He averaged 6.2 rebounds per game and shot 85 percent from the free throw line.
The native of Canada scored a career-high 22 points at Washington State – all of them in the second half. He scored 20 against Kansas State, 21 against Baylor and 21 points against then No. 22 Oklahoma State.
Olynyk and his Zags host Saint Mary's on Thursday. The game at 8 p.m. (PT) will be on ESPN2.
