Pullman Beats West Valley in GNL Opener

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

Thursday marked the re-start of high school basketball after the holiday break. It also marked the night Pullman remained top of the heap in the Great Northern League.

The Greyhounds traveled north to take on West Valley in Spokane Valley on Thursday. They beat the Eagles 63-50, outscoring West Valley 22-12 in the third quarter. Senior forward Corey Langerveld led all scorers with 23.

Pullman (9-1) and Cheney (5-3) are both 1-0 in conference play. West Valley (7-2) falls to 0-1 in the GNL after just their second overall loss of the season.

Cheney beat Deer Park 55-52 on Thursday.
