Kamiakin's Javan Williams Returns to Lineup

Posted: Updated:

KENNWICK, Wash. - Kamiakin boys' basketball is counting its lucky stars to have Javan Williams playing. Just last month Williams was also counting stars after taking a vicious hit to the head in Kamiakin football's season finale against Kennewick. Williams bounced back well, missing just the first two weeks of basketball. Head coach Brian Meneely raves about what Williams' presence means to the team.

"Well he's such a dynamic athlete and he gives us an element and allows us to play a kid inside, outside. He can shoot, he bounces it. You know anytime you add an athlete of his caliber, with his level of experience and his understanding of the game," said Meneely. "It's priceless and he's a kid that believes we're going to win. And he shows up and expects to win. And other kids feed off that. And that's the importance of having senior leadership."
