KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-City Americans went into Spokane Saturday, and crashed the Chiefs' teddy bear party. Tri-City beat Spokane, 2-1. But the Americans' play is up-and-down this season; beating tough teams like Spokane on the road, but coming up short against opponents like Everett, at home. Head coach Jim Hiller addresses the difference between the two games.
"Well again, two different games. We out shoot Everett heavily, and are only able to get the one goal. And then in Spokane, we get out-shot, but Eric only gives up the one. Fortunately we were able to get two," said Hiller. "We get the win in Spokane and get two points, maybe our goaltender was better, and we lose the game at home when we had all kinds of chances and their goalie played very well."
