Jason Gesser Says Goodbye to UI

It was a short stint as head coach for Jason Gesser, as he said goodbye to friends and fans on Wednesday.

Gesser, through Twitter, thanked athletic director Rob Spear and his former boss, Robb Akey for the opportunity.

"I really want to thank @RobSpear and @RobbAkey for the great opportunities at UI. I am sorry I didn't score more points and win more games." - @jasongesser (Twitter)

He followed that up by wishing the new coach and his staff the best of luck going forward.

"I wish the best for Paul Petrino and the new staff for great success in all the years to come! #vandalnation deserves it. #GoVandals"
