SPOKANE, Wash. -
Austin Rehkow stole the show, leading his Central Valley Bears to a GSL-opening win over Mead Tuesday night.
Rehkow scored 21 points to lead all scorers in the Bears' 61-54 home win. Junior forward Beau Byus added 17 points.
Sophomore Brandon Petterson scored a team-high 17 for the Panthers.
Central Valley is at Lewis & Clark on Friday, Mead hosts Rogers.
Girls Hoops: Lenhart Scores 20 in Ferris' Win Over UHigh
Kaley Lenhart scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Ferris past University 59-57 Tuesday night in Spokane Valley. The Saxons improved to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in league play.
Kayleigh Valley scored a game-high 24 for the Titans.
